TeraBox has always prioritized customers’ privacy. At the same time, we are committed to accountability for every user. Our transparency report shows our commitment to dealing with objectionable content on the cloud storage and building trust with our users, partners, regulators, etc.
TeraBox Policies
The content stored in TeraBox cloud storage must comply with the TeraBox policies. According to our Terms of Service, users cannot store any objectionable content and indulge in illegal activities with the use of cloud storage. It includes illegal, pornographic, and copyright-infringing content.
If there is any objectionable content shared through TeraBox, users and law enforcement agencies can report us and request for the takedown. Our team goes through the request and assists complainants according to the applicable law and procedures. For more details, check Transparency report for Q3 2024.
We have zero tolerance for illegal activities. We ensure the privacy of our users but do not allow unlawful behavior. We strive to make TeraBox the best and most secure cloud storage.
Actions Against Prohibited Activities
In the Q3 of 2024, TeraBox took down 514,123 links containing objectionable content. 420 accounts were suspended that were violating the policy of TeraBox and storing illegal content in the cloud storage.
47% of the links contained Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) materials while 41% were related to copyright. The rest were related to violent extremism, abuse, and others.
22,763 violent extremism links and 24,0168 CSAM links were disabled in Q3 2024. The data shows a decrease in the CSAM links compared to Q1 and Q2, indicating a positive trend.
Removal of Copyright Content
TeraBox understands the value of copyrighted content. We do not allow copyright infringement through our platform. If users find their content in the public cloud links, they can reach out and report those links.
In Q3 2024, 211,735 links were taken down for copyright infringement. Of course, if you come across any content that qualifies for removal, you can report it by submitting a takedown notice through our dedicated webpage or emailing us at helpdesk@terabox.com.
